Sorry for new topic again but nobody payed attention to my reply on older post :-\
is there difference in x25 and x30 ecu except in the eeprom map? i really cant get hold of x30 ecu but can buy x25 one...so if they're same except for the eeprom map i will buy x25 one and put x30 chip which i already have? Thanks
-
Dont know the answer you seek, but there are many x30xe ecu for sale on german eBay. www.ebay.de search for x30xe steuergerat.
-
Yes but with postage they are arround 80 pounds..i can get x25 one for few times less ...and i can get it faster because my friend sells it so if someone has info it would be nice

as far as I know, yes, the only difference is EEPROM. If you replace/reprogram EEPROM you can interchange these ECUs.
Oh, by the way, I think you'll need also a new immobiliser chip together with ECU.
Or, if you have CARPASS for your car, you can bind your old immo chip and new ECU.

I already have x30xe eprom(left from my old ecu)...and if i buy x25xe ecu ill get immobiliser(transporder and ring) with it...so i just wanted to know is any other difference cause every other thing on that engines is indentical except displacement...thank you

The mapping on the 2.5 and 3ltr is very close ;)
Yes, you get a little more fuelling at the top end but the 3ltr engine will run perfectly well on a 2.5 ecu :)
I dropped a 3 ltr in my old 2.5 and ran it on the 2.5 ecu for about 6 months with no problems whatsoever :y

Ok so i hope a 2.5 ecu with a 3.0 eeprom will work just like original..thank you guys!
