I have answered my own question rather the man in the local ICE shop has I had to buy two adapters  :( to get it too work one is a PC9-350 Kenwood to the traffic master and a little box of tricks not sure what the number for that was.Only problem was the price it cost £70 for the two units  :o But I will have the Kenwood fitted and the ipod plugs in too that  ;) Just got to try and get all the bits back in behind the head unit  :( I have just been removeing the ISO connector blocks and reconnecting using soldered joints so that should give me a bit more room I hope  :y

Right I am never going to take the head unit out again  :) I hope  ;D What a pain it is to get back in. Its all in now and working as it should remote display works steering controls work and traffic master working oh and the ipod is connected in too. The best thing is I replaced the airel connector and now I can get a decent reception  :y If anyone is suffering with poor reception  this might be worth changing the cable seems to have got very stiff so moving the headunit in and out may have snapped the conductor internally  ;)
