 ???

It's a thin layer of fibre glass with a 3/16" soft foam layer covered in fabric. As long as you don't fold it or bend it enough to crease it then it will be just fine.

Of course, if you're going to be welding the car up as a restoration process you could remove the windscreen and take it out the way it went in.

And I did say be careful with it...

It should fit through the boot opening.

May need carefully bending... absolutely not the same thing as folding it in half or creasing it.

For the purposes of this exercise, the metal 'plates' are irrelevant.

There's a how to in the Maintenance Guides.

Oh and expect to find a gallon of condensation above it. An Omega roof is as well insulated as a milk crate.

Hateful things. Set light to it.

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: ECU 3.2 manual conversion
« on: 04 January 2021, 02:41:09 »
In that case, just throw the 3.2 engine* in and call it done :y

* the only thing to swap would be the flywheel and spigot bearing from the 2.6.

No programming required  ;)

If you insist on fitting the 3.2 ecu then you need the key chips and transponder ring to match the 3.2 ecu, which is extra hassle  ;)

Perfect  :y

I don,t have access to tech 2, could someone do the manual conversion of the 3.2 ECU?
Can you read?

Use the 2.6 ecu, transponder and chip. That way the car still matches the car pass if you lose your keys.

Reprogramming the 3.2 ecu to manual is a waste of time and money.

Fog switches are individually removable and interchangeable.

Simply swap side to side to test... After you have fixed ALL the boot lid harness.

For the 3.2?

It has a forged crank. the 2.5/2.6/3.0 doesn't.

Agreed, don't panic and run with whatever decision you make, regardless of actual outcome  ;)
