A 3.2 I had in for breaking years ago had one in a similar state. The bottom end wasn't so much seized solid as welded into one mass.

I remember years ago bying a manta and the owner seeming proud of the fact that he had had the car for a fair few years and covered over 70k without a single oil change.! .when we took the rocker cover off you couldnt see the rockers as they looked to be covered in a big black box ! !. Solid oil. When we took sump plug out nothing happened. Engine was still running .?

And it's out of a PSA/Ford DV6 1.6 litre diesel  :(

For gods sake, an oil change isn't sooo expensive..  >:(

Is it possible that's out of a 2.0 hdi Peugeot? They have some serious sludge issues. To the point where Peugeot called it a 'flawed' engine. I'd argue they all are lol but the 2.0 apparently runs too hot. Can't remember why

Yes, I did my bosses Berlingo a couple of weeks ago. The pollen filter is still on the bench, as the van doesn't match any of the descriptions we've found. Bloody French cars!
