Hello and welcome, I agree I was told a number of years ago that the problem I had with mine was the head gasket which was wrong -it was a leaking oil cooler instead
Yes agree with Tunnie, assembled and sold pc`s for a number of years before retiring, and pc`s and gamers = moneypit with no upper limit to the spend especially when someone else is paying
I had the oil cooler replaced a few years ago on a 2.6 auto (was guilty of not using the recommended coolant for a number of years before the event) - was lucky in my ignorance at the time I think.Should the same happen again, would err on the side of caution and not drive it until the oil cooler had been replaced .
had the same problem with my 2 omegas over the years, replacing coil pack sorted the problem, some silicone sealant or similar to reduce /prevent water seeping into/under the scuttle via the windscreen washers/surrounding area, and dripping onto the coil packs/as suggested remove foam , and make sure the scuttle is clear of leaves and front wheel arch drain points are open using a wire coat hanger or similar
