"We are updating this experience for you"

No, your ridiculous touch screen thingy that never worked as well as a paper catalogue hanging from a nail has reached its Tears in the rain moment and the replacement is still in a container  somewhere. Probably passing the one that the catalogue is in on its way to be recycled on the other side of the world.

And what self-abuser decided that buying a sidelight bulb ought to be an experience? When I finally do get the bulb, I suspect that changing it will mean I'll need to use some of the dressings the nurse didn't use on my mother's ulcerated legs.
What grinds my gears is after buying a totally mundane item for a few pence, they then keep pestering you for your feedback.

Argos? Screwfix?  ???  :-\
It was Onbuy i think. I only bought some filler for my beanbag. ;D

The motoring gods are trying to tell me something.  Every time I go out to look at either car, monsoon season starts.

So I've failed to fill her's up with DEF, after a DEF warning came on about 2 mins after I booked it in for an MOT, and half hoovered it to make it look part respectable...    ...and anyone needing Worthing beach back, half of it is in the dyson, the other half is still available in her car...

Now that all the medical equipment is gone from the front room, we decided to sand and restain the wood floor before putting all the furniture back. It's been down for 55years, so it's well over due.

I was going to use the belt saner but it is a bit small, and the 3 belts we had are unused and old. They lasted a few seconds each. It has been in the cupboard for years, and I've never used it because that would mean I've done some woodwork. It turns out that the belts are an odd size and are order only, and I want to get the job done soonest.

So I broke out my 7" sander/polisher and managed to do all but about 2m˛ before the bloody thing died. And it's the bit by the door that will always be visible. So much for finishing the sanding today and staining the floor tomorrow.

July is turning into a really crap month :(

I try not to let small things piss me off too much, but I must admit having a white dog with the way the weather has been is a firkin nuisance. He is constantly white on the top and grey on the bottom  ;D

Finding out that a trip to London ( that alone pissed me off  ;D ) booked months ago for next weekend, has clashed with an overground train strike on Saturday and an Underground train strike on Sunday. You can’t plan for that can you.  ::)

I unearthed my 6" DA, thinking I might manage to finish the job albeit with a lot more effort, noise and vibration. The velcro pad on it was broken, so I swapped the original flat one and spent more time looking for the sticky discs. One small panel later, and the backing disc disintegrated.

I might have been better off dealing with the funeral arrangements.

A family friend borrowed my chainsaw a couple of months back and the next day he returned it, saying that he’d broken it. He said he’d cut four out of the eight railway sleepers to size when it just packed up. I was slightly pissed off but hey ho, I couldn’t do anything about it so I didn’t say anything and just put it in my garage without looking at it. Anyway, a couple of days back I stuck it on my bench to strip down, thinking one of the drive cogs had broken. When I picked it up I noticed the gap between my knuckles and the chain brake. Yep, he’d knocked the chain brake on without noticing.  ;D  I started it up and it works fine.  :y  If he asks if I managed to fix it I’ll say I haven’t got around to looking at it yet.  ;)

I assume this is your mum  :-\ (I didn’t see anything posted ). If so, sincere condolences.
