I have had 102 miles out of one charge but I had to drive so carefully it was exhausting

I currently lock mine but I am considering allowing public access in emergencies for a small fee of about £3.  Once the house is automated I have thought about triggering the on switch from a paypal payment whether I am in the house or not

Once you've automated your place you can come and do mine 

I applied (what the heck), but reading the T&C I'm pretty sure they'd take one look at my (1970s) consumer unit (for which you can no longer buy breakers) and declare it needs a grands worth of work before they could connect it.. still, let's see.

The cynic in me wants to know where the catch is (ditto for free loft/cavity insulation!).

Not sure I could live with a commute from here to there, though, by road or rail.. it's bad enough doing the 12 miles between Bracknell & Chertsey, let alone going all the way in to the smoke

My commute would be similar ish compared to you? I did the return journey in 50 mins yesterday afternoon. (although did leave at 4:30)

Morning its about 1hr10 ish currently, but I see a few short cuts I intend to try. Also looking to try the GS, think that should be around ~45mins regardless, going up A30.
