umm, the polisher was borrowed and it was £200
pads, £8 each
polish, 5x250ml £30
sonus clay, £5
last touch, £17 (3.5litre)
dodo juice, £30
wheel sealent, £15

new glaze and sealent, £15 each
....

soon runs into money but my fiancee and friend (who both helped out) have stuff too so we all share what we have you know!

for a simple polish by hand theres only one that i would recommend, Autoglym SRP (Super resin polish) and a decent wax such as a Meguiars!

....on the point miniator, is all this specialist material or can the various bits be sourced from ordinary motor factors?

pretty much specialist stuff although my motor factors is quite good. Polishes etc came from either

cleanyourcar.co.uk
elitecarcare.com or .co.uk (cant remember just now)
polishedbliss.com
or an ebay shop i found called specialistvehicledetailing

and even halfords are good for getting autoglym stuff due to their 3 for 2 offer....which seems to have been running forever now!

what were ya goin to replace it with??

something economical lol! Toledo 150 TDi as i adored my old 110!

gstyle... my mate has the cleanyourcar orbital and it helped out on my car so you can see its good. i borrowed a porter cable myself and for the money the CYC one isnt to be laughed at.
just signed up today to DW but im STILL awaiting approval from the admins.
here, whilst im typing, with having already waxed the car and needing to apply glaze and sealent. is it best to strip the wax off again? i would assume so. and also, whats the best way to apply the glaze and sealent lol!? havent used them before

I can't really improive on what's already been said about your motor....

It's a credit to yourself and others who've helped. Well done! Not to say the body isnt frankly staggering, but I think my favourite is the engine bay. Its super-clean, but standard. I like that.
