I tried easy start/brake cleaner on mine and it just made hideous knocking noises so I personally wouldnt recommend it :)

As I said, undo the crank angle sensor, this seems to load up the fuel delivery, you will know if it 'wants' to go just by the sound of it cranking. as soon as it sounds like it doesnt want to go again, stop, re-glow and start cranking agin. It should go eventually :)

quick update, while I drink me tea, still no joy, drianed filter, white smoke out of back, cranked no. One injecter, it sequencialy dribbles out, should it be dribbling? Or higher preasure,

Been standing for about nine months, cant tow it on my own, the car as m plate so not worth, much, is its not going tomorrow, thinking its going to get towed to the wiegh bridge, need the space cleared.

Oh and its a manual.

White smoke means unburnt fuel solution you need new glowplugs or the yellow relay in the fuse box beside the battery is not working. This is the GP relay

It wont start if more than 2 glowplugs are faulty, they are easily checked with meter or bulb by pulling the feed plug in the box with ecu.

Well managed to get the frecker started, very early yesterday morning.

Dissed the glow plug relay top plug and made up a thick 6 way wire harness so I could feed each glow plug with 12 V from an isolated fully charged battery, another charged battery into the bay, then armed with some brake cleaner in one hand and a club hammer in the other.

Switched on the glow plugs, guessing about 3 mins, and during that time had a loud chat with the windscreen whilst waving the club hammer around, trying to give some form of verbal warnings of encouragement, a splash of brake cleaner in to the turbo inlet, then starter motor, made some wonderful noises similar of something about to go into self destruct mode, a bit more cleaner with the starter still spinning for a while and bingo.  :y

So thanks all for all your advice, suggestions and encouragement.  :y :y :y :y.

Next stop MOT next week, think I might do Hammer and Chat thing again just before the Test. Who say's 15 year olds don't listen!

Well done bud!!! yeah brake cleaner does make some silly noises BUT!! it allows the engine to spin very quickly whilst firing and then the injection pump sucks up the diesel and she runs!!! :y
