Don't even go there with renewals >:(

Had mine through the other day and it's gone up to £507 from £380. Called them and they said Moët they can do as they don't price match and car crime and crashes have gone up in my area(first id heard of that :(). It's only a 2001 2.2 cd :-\

Went on line and most of the insurance companies want around the £450 mark :o

I have 10 years NBC which in my eyes counts for nothing.

Cheers will try them :y

Just went to one of the comparison web sites. If I change the date of when I purchased the car it goes down by about £100 :o

I swear they make these prices up ;D

What would happen and could they find out when I brought the car if I couldn't remember when I brought it?

Hype ethically of course ;)

I think the Bullet is around £175, FC with Business Use, 20k per year, declared mods, me and Mrs TB. TBE is £250+ (can't remember exactly), FC with Business Use, 20k per year, declared mods, me and Mrs TB. The shitbox Zafira is about the same as TBE, FC with Business use for me only, 10k per year, me and Mrs TB.

All 3 with at least 10yrs NCD, and one no fault accident for me.

The annoying thing about the insurance is that if a claim is made on the car, they will write it off and give you a couple of
hundred quid. It happened with my wife's Discovery 1 a few years ago. A car cut across her on a roundabout and did a bit of damage to the offside front wing. The insurance company wanted to write it off, but luckily after a bit of shouting down the phone in disbelieve, and telling them that its impossible to write off a Landy they covered it.

Just had the rear nearside of my 2.6 CDX dented by some idiot reversing it, Me, so going to pay for it myself. Don't want this written off, only done 60k and should last me the rest of my driving life. My contribution to carbon saving.

Given your age, its worth checking if FC is any dearer - it may actually be cheaper!  I'm mid 40s, and FC and TPFT come out approx. same price

FC is usually  better deal for us 50 +  "lads"   . . .  quite often it is indeed cheaper.

Have you put SWMBO on as that can bring it down quite a bit  as well (  you don't have to let her drive it  ;D ;D ;D)
