Omega General Help / Re: Upgraded pistons??

the vectra is already pushing 220/230bhp, she has G cams, has been superchipped (so ive been told) and was tuned by MSD. Turbo tho would look well under the bonnet, especially for car shows, think thats what its mainly for.
That's pretty impressive if the rolling road was anywhere near accurate.

I've had a 2.5 Omega with the 3.0l (G) cams and a Superchips chip, and never in a month of Sundays was it anywhere near as quick as my (then) 166k 3.0l Omega.

Good old 3.0 omegas are pritty quick. lol. my mate wanted me to race his lexus 200, lets just say he changed his mind when i took him for a spin one day. lol  ;D

General Car Chat / Re: Private number plate prices.

None of those plates are worth more than the standard £250 that DVLA charge for them.

Best plates I've ever seen is BOL 10X (no need to spell that one out) which was on a Roller that belonged to the owner of Sinatra's nightclub in West Croydon back in the early eighties, and GCL 1T (G Clit) which was on a MK 4 Cortina that a mate owned (also very early eighties).

I seen one similar on a audi A3 one day in belfast but it was 'BA110XS' lol

Omega General Help / Key / alarm problem??
« on: 19 March 2014, 18:45:59 »
Just bought another 3.0 omega but got the facelift model this time. Notice the buttons on the key doesnt work for the car, so put the key in the door to open it any the hazzard lights start going off until i put the ignition on.  ??? Any ideas on how to fix the problem? Put a new battery in the key and turned on the ignition and continued to push all the buttons to see if she will pick it up but nothing happens?
