Question for DaveDND

Can gay Sony dvd head units be re programmed to play multi region dvds? :-/
Mine won't play region 2 ones. :'(

Depends which model you have and where it was designed to play.

Some of the ones destined for the far east or asia do appear to have multi regional capability, but most destined for the UK or USA markets can often be fixed to those countries only.

Why did I know you were going to say that ::)

tuner only adjusts to .2 rather than .1. guess that's permanant too. :'(

Worth having a trawl through some of the USA forums as if you can find out how to change the frequency, you never know what else you may be able to do.

I certainly don`t have any info on it I`m afraid.
