Avoid at all cost these three.

Owning a derv car.
Owning an EV.
Having sex with another woman who has  the clap. :)

Was browsing Auto Trader last night, (usual sh!t on t/v swmbo was watching) and saw a Leaf for sale near me, (Newmarket). 60k on the clock, 2012. Advert stated that "battery had lost 4bars so range was 50-55 miles normal summer driving and 35-40 for winter". What the hell use is that in the real world?  ::)

About as useful as a chocolate teapot.

Not to worry though....... A paltry £10,000 on a new battery and it will be fit for purpose again. :)

Hmm, as much as I like the growl of a big petrol engine, when you gun your 240i off the lights, the car behind you that is matching your speed all the way up to the electronic limiter is probably a BiTdi of some description, using a fraction of the fuel that you’re using.  :)

Owning an EV.  Agreed.  :y

Having sex with another woman who has the clap. :)  No experience of this so can’t comment.  ;D

https://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/electriccars/article-12263633/Electric-vehicles-claims-25-higher-petrol-cars.html

I'm not sure just going on age is a like for like comparison. There aren't yet (and may not be for a while to come) many small cheap to run/repair electric cars. VW UP and leaf are about the only ones that spring to mind. Most manufacturers have focussed on big expensive SUV/premium saloon type cars. Which obviously cost more to repair than small cheap cars.

If you did a like-for-like comparison eg. Jaguar I-pace Vs F-pace SVR, I'm guessing the difference would not be so large.

Except if the battery pack was damaged, then the I-pace would be a write off.

I read it as he’d had sex with a woman who had the clap and didn’t want to make the same mistake again. I could be wrong of course, you can never tell in the current climate.  ;D
Not sure what relevance that has to EV’s though.  :)

To keep up with the modern trend I now identify as a lazy old git!

By the way, in case you haven't heard, all the pupils of the school where they identify as cats have been suspended.

The reason, the school still has a mice problem!

Well, I could have mentioned Fish and Chips, more interesting than EV's.

This was quite interesting. I forget the details but it seems that no one could/would fix it.
Turned out to be 97 pence 'fuse' that had failed. Needless to say that Datsun would only sell the complete module at silly money.

Say what you want about Bozzle, but his article in today's Daily Wail is spot on.
