I take your point regarding the seasons Jaimie, trying to spread 3 meets over the year as many of us are hoping this one reaches the popularity of the others. I've been a family man in the past so understand wives & children should'nt be expected to sit around in grotty weather, although use of the pavillion & marquees goes some way to help & the site is family/pet friendly. If May instead of April makes it a little more tempting for you i'm sure we're all happy with that. If we can get 3 major meetings up & running, many won't attend all but it gives members more choice when juggling work/family holiday commitments. Work on cars is also allowed.
Ian. Given that we're expecting a better turn out this year, would it be an idea to get a list started for May & book the hardstanding area so caravans can hook up? I might be bringing one myself this year as i'm getting old & sick of tents. It'd stop me driving like a pr*ck as well!!! (got the rest of the year to do that!!!) Also easier for jacking cars up. Guy. 8-)
Right, I will try and contact the bloke again and ask him, however were not actually camping at the campsite as such (where RIGHT next to it, and can use the facilities), and I think theres rules in place stating how many caravans etc they can have there... HOWEVER, these rules may not apply if its a big group booking.
As for generators etc... If wanted I can bring my genny down again, thats not too much a problem.
If its too cold for kids etc, I cant see any reason why a few can't sleep in the pavilion!
(Just a thought)
