Lad's first day out in Israel
« on: 13 January 2023, 11:49:43 »

With girlfriend's parents and brother. They've all just managed to cop a £45 fine each for not paying the correct fare on the bus from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. £225 down the wotsit, that'll learn them  ;D

Apparently Tel Aviv is actually quite nice once you get there... The flight itself has a reputation for being, er, challenging  ;D

Doesn't surprise me Steve, found them to be corrupt money grabbing bastards, when my brother in law died in Egypt 3 years ago I was advised of someone who was " well connected" to assist in getting his body back to the UK what they wanted was cash to assist, told them to do one.

You are aware that Israel and Egypt are two distinctly different countries and cultures ???

The kids presumably  ;D

Perhaps I should have clarified my earlier post. From a working point of view Tel Aviv flights have a reputation for being challenging. In no small part because of the dietary, er, considerations.  ;)

They're students. They'd fly sitting on the floor, in the nude, eating rat shit, if the flight was cheap enough ;D

If I know girlfriend's family, they'll just do a bunk on Sunday without paying the fines.

I found Israel an interesting and pleasant place to visit.
Wouldnt want to argue with any of the Israeli authorities though. They take no crap.
Egypt however. If it wasnt for the historical angle,  there would be no possible reason to visit the filthy shithole.
