Bloody hell, in the 25/200 section, you dont get a reply unless you are asking how to fit a 90" sub, or body kits, or chav-up mods...

Have just bought swmbo a renault megane (yes i know its french but it was cheap) it needs a new windsreen i know its bonded in being an 04 model, But talk about dick turpin Windsreen guys around here want £100 to fit only been looking on fleebay for a good used one just thinking of having ago myself any ideas, ??

mine is the lightest of the bunch, my select td estate apparently only weighs 1570kgs.....a full 300 less than the elite equivalent lol

sorry to hijack the thread but what does an omega weigh in at?

Anywhere between 1700 to 1900 kg, as an example I put mine on a weighbridge and it was 1870 kg half full of fuel but otherwise empty, that's for a facelift v6 elite estate

depends on the price for scrap metal in your area,here in cornwall its circa £200 a tonne at the moment which would give around £130-150 for you fiesta

Discounting MOT, insurance, road tax etc my TD Astra has cut mine by half. 

Aye - I toyed with similar, but most smaller cars dont help my back, and when you stop using cars that previous had lots of use, they seem to need more maintenence...  ...why is that?

I dunno but it seems to hold true,my mig at 74k has needed much more attention than my 190k 406hdi and the pug gets more than twice the use and both cars are the same age

The dilemma continues...

650x270, 77L tank is £75 cheaper than 630x270

Might have to go for the larger one and do the modifications after all! :-/ :-/

is it viable to chop the bottom out of the wheel well and get the tank lower so as not to lose so much load area?

I am half looking for another car at the moment and little is jumping out at me, everything very samey, I could do with something for work that uses a lot less fuel than the omega, in fact if I get something then swmbo can have mine and I could look at getting a V6....I have never driven one.....

you can drive a car to a pre-arranged mot test without tax and mot but it must be insured and the test station should be within a reasonable distance

My old one was like that but on both banks and across all pots. 
After DLK did it it was brilliant though.
