Remember him when I was a kid, stooge man for Arthur Haynes a comedian way back, 96 he did well.

That's a name from our past.  He was very funny I thought at the time.  No one seems to mention him now.

RIP Nicolas. A great entertainer :'( :'(
Why would anyone mention Arthur Haynes, Harry Worth, Arthur Askey, Max Wall (Don't shout it out, they'll all want one) ;D, to mention just a few. They are from a different era. People wouldn't find them funny because they wouldn't be pertinent now.
.

All proper comedians though far better than some of the modern trash put out today.

Tommy Cooper would still be funny, though.

I didn't find him funny even back then

In his later years Tommy Coper was a toe curling embarrassment. He was funny as a toothache. Same goes for Ernie & Eric and most of the others. Even Billy Connolly stopped being funny eventually.
I cant think of a comedian who has remained really funny for a lifetime. They run out of steam and material at some point.

Some of the trash that first aired on BBC3, which is, unfortunately, being shown BBC1, is total garbage to me.

Kirk Douglas. Aged 103.

Amazing. I recall seeing Spartacus in the cinema. Always came across well on the screen.
