Post by: Taxi_Driver on 13 July 2006, 20:58:42
Now im NOT starting a debate or slagging off thread on this
But i was on VXon earlier.....and noticed that all links to this wonderfull new site has been '****' out
I think thats pathetic....and send a post a post pointing this out and why the two sites carnt live in harmony....i'll probably get rubbished on vxon for the post....but i dont care to be honest.

NOW.....SORRY FOR THE CAPS.......BUT NO REPLIES UNLESS THERE ARE CONSTRUCTIVE.....I DIDNT SLAG OFF VXON IN THE POST...PLEASE DONT HERE.....

Cheers

Dave

I am unsurprised - I did complain to owner Dave about the poor moderation and ask to be unsubscribed - have not been back since and I don't think I'll bother again.

I have left BBs before but never with such animosity!

I have had a warning before on another forum regarding someone selling Band of Brothers S/H for more than about 30 of us had just bought new! But the warning was a soft one - I think Stuart understood!

Howver I have been at that one for ages and in top 200 for posting

Most of the people on VXon were OK. I'm afraid it's the usual story of a few spoiling it for everyone. Some of the posts were just plain weird.

Be aware I am watching this thread very carefully.

Remember, whats happened has happened.

We are not here to undermine VxON, we are here to assist Omega owners get the best from their cars.

If I think anyone steps over the line, their post will be edited or deleted.

Lets look forward instead :)

mmmm they were complaining that some of the how-to guides have disappeared, and how pathetic that was, but on the other shoe have deleted  links to the site, set up by some of the thier previous members who wrote said guides, ........that cakes a bit rich.

I wont type any more as i know laidback's not keen for this, delete this is you feel it's best Admins.

They have left a link to us in their Links section.  Removing other links, such as those in valid friendly threads may be considered a step too far in some eyes, but I'm sure there are two sides to every argument...

Agreed, lets concentrate our efforts on making this the place, rather than worrying whats happening over on another forum.

As we keep saying, what happened there is in the past, we don't need to keep dragging it up...

Unfortunately intesnse relationships often end badly.

You always get one party that feels wronged and that is disappointing.
I will make one final articulate and calm post to redress the balance there and then my time will be done.

But let us not dwell on the actions of others and their rearward views, rather look forward to what WE can achieve together!

Come on guys, there are more interesting things to talk about!  [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]

Yep. At the end of the day we all move on.

And if we didnt disagree on "policy" in Vxon we would not have this place.

I love everyone  :-*

I think I stopped logging on at VXONLINE, after it stopped being cavweb.co.uk
Actually might have stopped after the cow shed, became just the shed.

New POD has bought a Tardis ...... as it's taken him back to 2006 on the 'Honey I'm home' thread as well.  :y ;D

Oh, and the 'Range 72 miles' thread (2017). I thought Albs had just had a CID fitted.  ;D

I reckon he's pressed the first post first tab, instead of leaving it at last post first.

I had just fitted one but it turned out it had came out of a diesel car, so TB recalibrated it for me. Consumption figures were all over the place.

I borrowed the same time machine as the recruitment agency that emailed me last week telling me about a fantastic contract that might interest me at £16 an hour inside IR35.

Sorry, what I meant was I thought you'd just had it fitted, as in January 2021  :). I then saw that it was back in 2017, and that New POD's time machine had re-visited an old thread. Hope that makes sense.  :y
