I have a 2005 Terracan bought it in 2012 , 1 previous owner & had only covered 25,000 miles now on 42,000 & hasn't missed a beat apart from service items I have had no problems.30 mpg average 27 when towing a twin axle caravan ,solo on a long run 38mpg. Very big following in Australia worth having a look at their forum. Seen several around since buying mine & have spoken with several of the owners all reckon they are very underrated vehicles and really good value.

This looks very good for the price, I assume Mercedes engine and gearbox, just like the Jeep.............. :y :y

Guys, we all know that the best 4X4 is a 'Series' Land Rover, not the modern stuff, it has too much to break down, especially the electrics........ :y :y

Should have said mine is a manual, the autos apparently return only 19-25 mpg that is the biggest complaint on the forum.Yes it is a Merc derived engine & gearbox using a Shogun chassis it is a very capable beast off road plenty of proof on u tube.

I have had several 4x4s over the last 25 years Toyota Nissan Subaru & now Hyundai, I am the first to admit that Land Rover  make some good looking vehicles but that is as far as it goes, if you want reliability such as I do buy foreign !! I paid £5450 for mine in 2012 from the bay, came with full history original bill of sale £17,300 & only 25,000 miles a real bargain.
