It's a 2.6.

Will try a used one, as can't run to a Bosch one at present.

Omega General Help / Coolant Level message

Getting this message,  but  level fine and no leaks or mayo.

Where is the sensor for this  ? Can't  see any wires to the expansion  tank.

Thanks in advance.

Pedal test shows MAF sensor and various misfires. Codes cleared and only showing  110  now (MAF).

One of the intake pipes has tape round it, so may also be leaking/drawing air, so will replace.

I am getting a coolant level message on the dash, but the level is fine and hasn't budged - don't think this will affect anything though - assume the float in the  expansion tank is just stuck ?

Any other suggestions ?

Am thinking it may be breather related, as once on the move and first past 2500rpm, the problem goes and it ticks over fine. Being the 2.6, am I right in thinking it shouldn't suffer the old woes of the 2.5 dis pack corrosion problems ?

Oil is nice and oily - no mayo here !

There we go........four days into ownership and a problem occurs ! :(

Starting from cold in the morning it (2.6 V6) fires up ok, but after 10 seconds or so revs drop and runs rough. Struggles to pick up for first 50 yards then it's off, no problem and idles ok after that.
Does feel hesitant at low revs generally, but once above 2500 revs it's fine.
Throw me a checklist please. Will check for oil in plug wells, but wondering if there's an inlet problem (gunk blocking a butterfly valve or similar - my old XJ40 Jag had a similar issue).

Cheers in advance.

Hi all.

Have had a problem on two occasions recently, both requiring RAC call-out (only for it to start when they arrived !)..............anyway, the car starts fine from cold and runs fine (although a little lumpy at tickover on LPG - no surprises there), but I'm having a nightmare whenever I've stopped the car and left it for 30 minutes or so..............................refuses to fire up !

Turns over, but doesn't even cough. Tried some 'engine start' yesterday (after walking around for miles in the pissin' rain, trying to find a motor factors), , thinking it might be the 'choke' getting itself confused, to no avail. RAC guy turns up about an hour later and hey presto..........it starts after a couple of turns !

Only faults showing on their diagnostic are lambda sensors and a MIL fault (which I think is something to do with the LPG switching), which wouldn't affect ignition.

Any ideas ? Crank sensor perhaps (although no fault shown) ?

Don't really want to get rid, as it's pretty economical on LPG, but can't be doing with the hassle of this every time I leave the car for half an hour !

Ta.

Rob
