Headlamp adjustment.

Attempting to improve the lights,what is the little galv levers inside the casing for,and should they be up or down.

it'll be easier to check them when it's dark against a wall/garage door, you can see the  beam pattern better.  :y

Bad news I'm afraid,the lamps are after market replacements DEFO they don't have these adjusters,as well as being bloodly useless crap anyhow.

if the lamps are DEPO ones they are nowhere near as good as the gen vaux ones, and no the DEPO ones I had didnt have the adjuster either.

Swapped for a set of considerably dearer new vaux ones.

How much do decent second hand headlamps go for these days?

And thanks for the headsup, thought the DEPOs looked alright, now i know they arent!

the last 2 sets of projectors i had i sold for £30 per pair, maybe thats why they sold instantly  ;D ;D

£40 each, old stock from a dealer in Bromley. And they were xenon. 8-)

how is the adjustment made on these headlamps?? on the lowest position they still aim pretty high :(

you do need to turn each of quite a few times to make a noticable difference to the aim. One is up/down and the other is left/right H21 said which was which the other day on a similar thread.  ;)

The one nearest to the wing is Up/Down, anti-clockwise for up and clockwise for down

The one nearest the centre of car is Left/Right, drivers side anti-clockwise to move beam towards passenger side and passenger side anti-clockwise to move beam towards centre of road.
