Swapped the Skoda Superb....for a Renault Trafic on Monday....only for a week...this trafic is the 115dci....and too thirsty on diesel... i want the 100dci....much better fuel economy.
Tho i have to say its performed well in the snow today....only once did i spend 10mins trying to get it going up a reasonable steep hill (coz some muppet in front of me stopped on the hill and i had no choice to stop as well). Best plan of approach i found was just to spin the front wheels while locking the wheel side to side....just sorta snaked up the hill  :y

So....is FWD actually better for this ice and snow.....assuming you actually want to go somewhere and not just do donuts  ::)

And here you've been trying to talk us all into buying a Skoda. Now I get it, it was your's  you were trying to sell :o ::) :y

I was test driving a VW Caddy 4-Motion yesterday.
Drove to a border customs against Sweden 40km from home, to return again.
For a surprisingly fun and controlled car by the way ..
But it was pretty cold up there -33 degrees below .. Brrrrrr ...!!!

Used fly into Bodø in my Avatar, and seem to remember similar temps. :o :o :o

Used to call curling on Lochs a Bonspiel IIRC, when I was a member of a curling club near Inverness. Great fun I'm told, but we never had it quite cold enough in the 8 years I lived there, so Inverness ice rink sufficed, but still an ace sport. 8-)

Decided I'm gonna WFH today.  Apart from the landrover down the end of the close, nobody has ventured out in cars down my road today...
Some have tried to get out today (and failed miserably), but Biggy didn't have a problem at all.

The snowline is up to the car sills. Obviously less clearance on my car. I suspect once I've got off the estate roads, things would be easier, though I'd put a pound that the council haven't gritted the roads down the hill, which could make things 'interesting' ;D

I don't suppose Turweston aerodrome is available for skid pan training any more ::) :-? ;D
