Hi
Can anyone tell me how to remove the complete filter housing under the scuttle on a 1995 Omega?  As it is off the road at the moment, having some TLC. I have tried to clean the years of crap, around the housing. So I can get in and attack any rust hidden, reseal any joints and repaint.  All searches show two nuts, accessed from the scuttle area, but they are not on mine. Does the Glove box have to come out to access the bolts or nuts?

Its been a long time since I removed one, but istr its removable from the engine bay.

Hi Migv6 le Frog Fan. Thank you for the reply.  All the searches I have done, say there are two nuts. That are visible, when you look into the pollen filter area, this is for model years 2000 onwards. I don't know if it is because the car is a 1995 model. But I cannot find any nuts.

The Haynes manual says there is a hinged lid on the housing which will be accessible once the rubber beading has been removed. I'm planning to do my 96 estate's pollen filter when I service it in the coming weeks so just happened to stumble across this. Apologies if it's all sorted.

There certainly is, to change the filter, piece of cake - longest bit is opening the bonnet and walking round!

Addy was asking about removing the rest of the housing that is attached to the car. As I understand it it's accessed from through or behind the glovebox and is awkward...
