Just got todays update from Big Rod.

He set off from Fife yesterday and drove the 400 miles to Henley (for the over night stop) with very few problems. I say very few because the paint job is not holding up to great and is starting to peel and the laptop packed up!

So at midnight last night it was out with the paint brushes for a quick touch up job (its a wonder nobody called the Police!) and then off to buy a laptop today.

Hes now in Dover (or should be, when he texted he was 50 miles away) ready for the ferry trip to Calais and the meet up at the weird bar near the French Asylum camp for a few beers before getting a good nights sleep ready for the big off in the morning.

Coming to a cinema near you!

Well, a big thanks to Robin Hood who did a great job of filming and editing the DVD.

This is available from Robin Hood at a price of £3.00 delivered which I think is an absolute bargain, it stars my good self with guest appearances from Laidback66 and the voice of MrMcburger and runs through the full fitting and timing process.

Now with added bonus sequences:

  • Water pump removal and replacement
  • Idle roller re-greasing
I have moved a post to the maintenace guides area for future reference.

Ever since i have had the Estate on the road its always pulled under braking.

This I suspected was due to the wishbone bushes so I planned to change them at some convenient point.

Well, that convenient point was tonight, changed the drivers side (will do the passenger side tomorrow) to find that some tit had inserted the horizontal bush the wrong way round!.

No wonder it was pulling under breaking!

Now clearly these were fitted by somebody with fairly specialist tools.....
