On prefacelifts, 2 sizes IIRC, Elite should be the 6.3l.  Same across range I believe?

I can take a pic tomorrow and post it so the op can compare if it helps. I really have no idea if they are the same, although 6.3 L sounds familiar.

Actually, iirc the pre/ mini fl tanks have a longer filler neck. I also have a vague recollection that the f/l version can be extended to do the same thing ?

It's a mod that some do so that the yellow filler car can't be seen though a facelift grille ... it extends to the slam panel.

Ah the return of the oracle. :) :)
So, will a f/l saloon tank be ok for a m/fl estate ?

Elite will have washers presumably and if the sensor isn't needed it can be left disconnected ?
I would imagine its  question of whether it will physically fit and do the required job ok.

you have the bigger tank due to HIDs so a hole for the high pressure pump & a hole for the level sensor

Face lift have a rubber grommet for the sensor hole if not fitted, so retrofit existing sensor to new tank (if applicable) :y

Alb's one should fit fine. You may have to dettach your filler neck and put it on Alb's one.

And MFL removal:

Disconnect battery (important - MFL fans are not protected, and may start at any point)

Remove Grill
Remove Headlight washer nozzles
Remove small trims under headlights
Remove bumper
Remove washer filler neck by pulling up
Remove cross member, with bottle attached

Some electrical connectors and hoses need to come off along the way, disconnect these when convenient.
