According to the manual....

Speed Dependant Volume Control (SDVC)

Press TUNER control until you hear a beep

Display shows current SDVC setting ie SD VOL +2

Adjust using the tuning controls < >

To store, press TUNER again until you hear a beep.

At SD-VOL 0 the automatic volume control is switched off.

I would go and try it for myself....except racing up and down the M32 playing with the stereo at night might just get me in a bit of trouble !!

Back from ATS ....

Need two centre pipes \ boxes and back box...ATS price £430.00 fitted...

They're concerned about drilling out the bolts on the cats...so am I !!   ::)

Time to do some price surfing....

Omega General Help / Exhausts
« on: 05 September 2006, 14:18:02 »
It's MOT time and I know my exhaust is blowing   :'(

Rather than crawl underneath and take a look i'm just popping up to my local ATS to see what they say...I'm not buying from them, just see what they say is wrong, take a look whilst they've got it in the air and see what I need.... ;D

Question is, do I just fit an after-market one of go visit my vauxhall dealership and get one from there ?

Guess it depends on what I need...

I seem to remember a thread elsewhere on exhausts, but haven't found anything here.

Omega General Help / Re: Elite Spare Wheel
« on: 30 August 2006, 11:27:52 »
Mine's a Facelift 2000 Elite...

What was confusing me is that JasonH (who pointed out how bald my tyre was) has a Facelift 2000 CD and his spare appears to be full size he has the 16" wheels and his spare is 16" with no speed restriction - maybe someone swapped it before...

Thanks guys, at least I know it's the same as others...I was concerned about 3 being 17's and the spare being a 15 - needless to say I drove at less than 50mph and only for the 5 miles or so to Kwik Fit for new boots....

Wasn't allowed to drive 200 miles at less than 50 to go to somewhere cheaper...that'll teach me not to check inside the tyre and not just the outside !

What size spare should a 2000 2.5 Elite Estate have ?

Went to Cornwall for the weekend, whilst there it was pointed out to me that one of my rear tyres was getting near the limit...ok, it was VERY bald on the inside...and had several large cuts in it..   :o .one hasty wheel change later and the spare is on... :-/

BUT...My spare is 195\65 R15 and has a big yellow sticker on it saying 80km/h limit... :-?

The standard wheels have 235\45 R17's..

Cheers

Omega General Help / Re: Jacking points

How about jacking the front up and putting the ramps underneath ?  Ok so it's a long winded way of doing it, but safer than axle stands and plenty of room underneath then!

Tunnie  - I really wanted a silver Omega...this one's either chocolate, burgandy or Aubergine (sp!) depending on the light..did look good when washed and polished though...must do it again sometime soon !

There's a place on Avon St in Bristol that caters for just Vauxhalls - All-Vaux - not sure what they have for Omegas though...

Place on the way to Frome always used to be good, been sat on the top of a pile of four cars watching the crane pick another car up and drop it right in front of me....

How about a seperate thread for people to post their favorite scrapyards in ?
