Pics of the Wycombe meet.
« on: 06 November 2011, 10:23:34 »

Hi all,

Many Many thanks to all those who came to the Wycombe meet....fanbludytastic :y :y
Big thanks have to go to those who did the mechanics....top class. Taxi Al, Chris, Kevin, TB, ....there were some pretty grateful Omega owners at the end of this one. Especially me who now has a sex free car with no bonking under the bonnet. ;D Mark, fancy carrying droplinks around in the boot, my saviour. Thanks also to Max for Trolley Jack, Axle stands etc.....just a pity you were the only one not to have success with the changeover. :(

Radars water leak is hopefully diagnosed :y When TB, Kevin and Chris dived under his bonnet, bits came flying out all ways.
The adaptment of my footpump as a makeshift pressure tester did the job. I am in awe of you chaps as how its treated as a common everyday thing to have half an engine out in a carpark. ;D

John's car, in his words were 'Its never sounded so sweet' but the Chav exhaust has got to go ;D
And to Josh with his 'Lucky Dip' box of parts.

And Mark's extraction by 'The Dentist' had another ending.

And last but not least, thanks to all the swmbo's who came and supported us, especially Christine 'the cook'
Sorry for quality of inside pics :(

Unbelievable Terbert - I'm gutted I missed this one. Looks like you did it proud again and had better weather than last time.
It amazes me also the confidence these gents have to start taking things apart (in a car park, on a Saturday afternoon, with just the right box of bits to hand  :o :o ) and put them back together again - hats off to you fellas everytime - well done.
Maybe I can book a slot for my elusive Airbag light at the next one  ::).

Sorry I missed you all.

Cheers
Ian.

Totally agree with the comments about the confidence and competency of these guys.

We were watching them on fast forward putting my car back together.

Personally i don't think it was the onset of dusk that was the reason ..... but the fresh sausages that were waiting for them! ::)

Also lets all be thankful that we have all these guys around us with such a wealth of knowledge and experience and the willingness to get stuck in and help when things go wrong :y :y

Really really sorry that I couldn't make this one due being hors de combat, especially as I still need to sort my TD high fuel consumption.

Well done all you workers for what sounds like a fun meet. :y :y :y
