Ford engine anyone???
« on: 17 May 2007, 20:04:00 »

Hi everyone, just done a service on the daughters Fiesta 1.25 Zetec. I noticed that when you "blip" the exelerator you get a noise from around or inside the inlet manifold that sounds a bit like a turbo dump valve. Is this normal or is there something amiss. Cheers Tony :y

i served my time in a ford garage so i know this engine quite well , manifold cracks are common but easily identified as are air leads , however the engine does have a noisy intake system due to the nature of the swirl chamber within the inlet manifold.
providing there is no hesitaion ,increased idle or em light on i wouldnt worry
