hi all.

went to try and start the old girl today but it was having none of it the key just wouldn't turn,

it has been getting a bit temperamental lately .

then had an idea to try my spare key that I have never used it works fine.

so I guess its the key worn,

so my question is what is the best way of going about getting a new key cut as im guesing that the fob has some sort of immobilizer chip in it.

was wondering my drivers seat belt wont retract its self have to feed it back manually.

is this an mot failure and is it an easy fix?

Omega General Help / more knocking

hi chaps,

have recently had new wishbones and new drop links and new struts and new hub carriers and new track rods,

and although it handles much better and is softer on the bumps I still have a very annoying knocking from the front,

 it is okay on soft bumps like speed humps but on general rough uneven roads seems to set of this knocking noise,

are there any other bushes that may need replacing on the front that I may have missed or any think common that could cause this.

all I wont is a knock free ride

hi guys,

what would be the effect of shot anti roll bar bushes on the rear, only I thought it may be the shocks but they look fairly new

every time the rear hits bumps you get a knocking bit like the exhaust is hitting the bottom of the car or feels like it bottoms out.

Omega General Help / steering problem

hi guys,

have only had my omega 2 weeks and right from the start the steering has felt odd,

so I went and had the geometry done and now its even worse I will try and describe the problem.

steering doesn't straiten after Turing a corner just seems to carry on turning.

when it hits a drain its a large bang and car jumps to left or right depending on which front wheel hits the drain.

steering wonders left to right as you drive.

I have taken it to my garage and the guy said that on inspection there is 4 or 5 degree's movement in the joint where wish bone goes into the hub carrier . so I instructed him to change the wishbones, as he suggested

after replacing he now said that the wish bones he took of are either the wrong ones or very very cheap ones and they have damaged the cast iron hole in the hub carrier  and that even the new ones are lose.

so I now need new hub carriers.

has any one heard of this before or any ideas.
