Title: Any way of telling?
Post by: BazaJT on 18 May 2020, 18:01:17
If a CCR 2006 is a Bose unit or not without actually buying one and fitting it? Any serial/part numbers or letters?

Yes-ish, from part number on label, assuming nobody has messed swapping innards.

The Bose capable one was mostly only fitted to Omega Elites, so a PN check against EPC will give an element of confidence.

A Tech2 can tell 100%, but assume you don't have access...

No I don't have access to Tech2 unfortunately.Reason I asked if a Bose unit can be recognised by numbers etc is that most that pop up on the likes of E-bay don't seem to list/know whether they're Bose or not but it's such a faff changing speakers etc to swap to a double din non-Bose[and of course also increases cost]and I don't want to buy one to find out it's not a Bose unit.

I have a Bose unit
I’m willing to share the serial so you can check / cross reference
I don’t know the difference in serial numbers myself
