Yes, I know, painful to watch. I can't see anyone catching us in the race for the premiership, but I don't think we'll end up with the big points difference we have now.
I also don't think we'll win the champions league, although it would be nice  :)

Could be a temporary glitch and normal service will be resumed shortly. It's been 30 years since Liverpool have been champions so more success is due.

When I was at school Leeds United were the team to beat. :y

Sniffer Clarke, Norman 'bites yer legs' Hunter, Peter Lorimer, to name but a few, managed by the brilliant Don Revie. We played some great games against them, including the 1965 FA cup final...which we won, of course.
Liverpool defender Gerry Byrne broke his collarbone but, as there were no substitutes left, played on and crossed the ball for Liverpool's opening goal, scored by Roger Hunt.
Them was the days.

Tommy played for Liverpool, I was talking Leeds players. Roger Hunt, Ian St John, Peter Thompson are the ones that spring to mind.

Are you ready for this? The average footballers wage in 1965 was......£38.

£629 in 2020.

I think Ronaldo and Messi earn more than this. Which is probably why they drive a Veyron rather than a Mk1 Cortina or Morris 1100.

£33,868 in England's top division in 2010. That's as against £38 a week in England's top division in 1965.

.....in 2010. Footballers are paid far more now. Still, they are worth every penny. :)
