I have just bought a BMW 530d. This does not please me. However I need a better MPG than my mig will give me, so it has to go. :'(
'51 plate, 3.2 v6 Elite in grey.
All the usual elite, including:
Cream (ish) leather
NCDC2015
Phone (demonstrated working to me when I bought it, but not used since)
Colour display (no dead pixels etc)
2008/9 satnav disc
Bose Sound System
Rear parking sensors
Never had a CDR in main or changer (during my time), no jumps or skips to discs or errors
All 4 heated seats work
Climate control is cold
102500 (in use) miles
Tax til Jan 14
MOT til
Cambelt done at 88k
Virtually no wear on any instrument buttons
All tyres inc spare (steel) good
No point in telling you how good this car is, if you're here, you know!
Bad bits:
"Soft touch" coating to door pocket flaps is wearing/dirty
Crack in front bumper (towbar i think)
Corner scuff to same
Small area of flaked lacquer to rear door
Small rust bubbles to rear arches
Small dink to rear quarter & wing (fence panel fell on it)
Scuffs to top of rear bumper (from loading)
Small tear to drivers seat (screwdriver in pocket!)
Larger tear to rear corner panel on seat back by door (don't know what else to call the edge cushion?)
Couple of minor carpark dings, nothing major
Has a tendency to "cough" occasionally, especially when less than 1/4 tank fuel, changed MAF sensor, no difference, haven't got around to looking further into it
Is in need of a damn good clean, which I shall attempt to find the time for

Im not currently in the market for an Omega of any kind unfortunately. I saw this car a couple of years ago, just after Adrian bought it,and it was lovely. :y
-

My God! It's a wreck! ;D
-
Dare I ask what happened to the seats? :-\
-
Well wreck's a bit harsh!
See OP for details!
-
It's a real pity about the seats :(
-
Any chance of you telling us about the past service history done on the car.(by you..or anyone else) Come on you have been on here well over 3 years....
-
Any chance of close ups of all alloys?
I was in two minds whether to say this, but sadly (while its worth well over £600 to you) I think you'll struggle to get the asking price a tad, based on the cosmetic condition, and the fact the coughing / bunny hopping issue which you've been posting about for a few months is still unresolved.
Do you know when the Cambelt was last done?
Sadly my gorgeous old 3.2 mv6 with great LPG and near perfect condition inside and out only fetched £660 with a full mot and wim setup, and you also have the odds against you that in the run up to Christmas and the couple of months after many people are skint
Unfortunately I'd only be interested for a project given the issues :/
-
As I said in the original list, cambelt was done at 88k (just after I bought it)
Will take alloy pics today, but can't post til wednesday as I'm away from my pc
Stand by for service info....
-
And tbf, no-one here seems to know what the cause of the choking is, and I haven't had the time to look into it much further....it's not a great inconvenience as long as you keep over 1/4 tank of fuel.
Mind you, everyone (except 1 person) was convinced that the ECU wasn't at fault a few months back!
-
£600 delivered to my door and I`ll take it :) :-*
-
Hmmm.....
Bristol isn't that far in my world.
Let me work out train price

Amazingly cheap!
-
Although for some reason, Sunday is £33.....never makes any sense to me
My only issue is the insurance grace period expires on Friday at midnight, and due to work there is no way I can get it to you before the weekend.
However, If I put enough fuel in it, and pay for the train ticket, would you be willing to come pick it up?
Or reduce the price accordingly?
-
Can be insured for one day for round £20. ;)

Dagnammit!!

A few months ago I would have bought it as soon as it was advertised, but I currently have three cars, and no way can I have another.
Also not sure I want to break another Omega for parts, even one with a full compliment f toys like this one.
-
So use the bits you have to make this one well again...... ::)
-
Very few bits left now Adrian. I would have liked to have had it tbh, might have even kept it for myself, but it really isn't possible at the moment, and probably wouldn't be for around 6 months. ;)
-
Was a deal done, in the end?
-
Looks promising, tying up details as we speak, will advise if so :)
-
Just met RobG, and as expected from someone on here, a thoroughly nice fella, (and a really big friendly dog!)
All sold, hope he's as happy with it as I have been
