When British Gas is the last man standing, has it's old monopoly back and you're both on it's expensive standard variable rate with the rest of us you won't be laughing then!

I'm with British Gas[always have been since moving over here 28yrs ago]for both electric and gas. Gas is for heating and hot water only and at present costs me £23 per month.Electric is for everything else and is on pre-payment meter[it was like that when we moved here 7 or so years ago]and cost £35 per month.Don't know what it'll cost when new prices come in but it is what it is and will have to be paid.

Just been to my nearest station in the Boxster as its nearly empty. No fuel of any kind left due to people panic buying.
Went to the next nearest, a few hundred yards away which is limiting people to £20 of fuel.
They were queuing 100 yards down the road.
I turned around and came home. Im not getting involved in that stupidity.
Will fill Pierre with diesel on the way to work tonight and that will give me 700 miles of motoring.

One advantage I had during the last Fuel farce, no tinker wanted LPG but me so I could drive to the front of the queue which pissed everyone queuing right off
