Alarming builders
« on: 13 March 2007, 21:32:01 »

Just got back from school and a visit from a chubb alarm engineer ( sorry Mark, technician). When I left earlier today there was a PIR hanging down from the ceiling where the builders had moved it. "That needs to go back" I said. "No worries, I'll do it before I leave" said Bob the builder.
Got a call from the caretaker saying the alarm wouldn't set. Drove down, straight to the PIR, and he had fixed it. With a f*cking big screw. Straight through the front, through the PCB and out the back.

idiot.

The sad thing is....I wasn't shocked, upset or anything really, just mildly amused. That is the way of things today. School will pay...it's only public money :(

As any good joiner will tell you .... You put a screw in with a hammer - the slot is for taking the screw out!  :y
