Me Mig failed the MOT today. I was devastated :'(. Emmissions - nope. Brakes - nope. Tyres - nope.
Blown rear number plate bulb ::). Swapped in a spare and now got another 12 months ticket. ;D :D

Yep.. Those bu66ers have a habit of blowing on the journey to the test station. >:(

Oh crap, my MOT is tomorrow :-X So on the hottest day of the year I swopped out the rear shocks & flushed out the old brake oil. Last done 4 years ago ::)
I always make a mess doing this simple job, but the light oli spilled; soon evapourated away
I cleaned up all the brake lines as best I could, but the N/S/R looks a bit iffy :-\
I buffed up the head lamps with T-cut & now they sparkle & my Polish exhaust system fitted a number of years ago still looks ok.

The BMW did the opposite, last year. It started working on the way to the test! ;D

I believe that there is some code in the ECU which interprets GPS signals and knows when you are on your way to the MOT centre ::)

someone needs to do an ECU remap, so the indicators work AFTER BMWs leave the test center :P

Mine was gone last year, the tester put a new one in FOC and passed it!

That's exactly what my local garage would do.

Yep - It's what mine did - they know where I keep the spare bulbs - but they still printed the fail and then pass sheet. :)

Keeps VOSA happy. I've had a couple of Fail/Pass on headlight aim.

They all do it to some degree. It's only VAG which has been caught thus far.
