Had a look at the unit and grabbed these numbers from it? 09 156 806/0265 220 455
So would these numbers be the same on the ecu stuck on the side (black bit), or would it be completely different?

Thats fine guys, glad for all the input.
Doubt i can see any part numbers, so can only go on by 3.2 then. Literally looked on fleabay 2.5/2.6 ones are priced from £30-50. Theres only 1 for a 3.2 and that more than triple the price at £175.

Entwood had one off me the other month did he use that ? If not I may have another :y
Keep me posted Joff

I think i need to go down the route of finding a abs/ecu unit, as jumpy speedo still hasnt resolved.
Think read somewhere they have to be from similar vehicles, so that would be a 3.2.
So if anyone has any lying about eating dust, throw it over to me.  :y

Omega General Help / Crackling Speedo
« on: 03 November 2015, 12:21:46 »
Made a new title topic just for future referencing. Some might have read my previous post about having a eratic/jumpy speedo. Initial thought was abs ecu, but neither abs/tc lights were on. Also swapped speedo panels still made no difference.

Anyway today jumped in started the car and hear some funny crackling noise from the cluster unit area lasted few seconds, and needle stopped jumping around. Drove 10 miles perfectly fine, come to park it again hear the crackling noise (managed to record it on vid) then the speedo went bonkers again? Checked ground connections/voltage all seemed fine.
Has anyone else experienced this? Could it be both the speedo's i have are faulty, it just now seems like its something electrical more then mechanical.

And if there is a way to upload vid let me know, il put it up  :y
