Watched coolant dripping from the back of the engine on the Omega  :(
probably the HBV (new one in the spares hoard  ;D) ,
I need it to cool off before i strip the scuttle tray to actually know .
sods law ,the spare astra my brother has  ::)
I serviced and MOTed his astra last weekend (passed, no advisories)  8)
he'd not returned the spare astra and took his dirty diesel astra estate back  ::)
not that i want to slum it in an astra anyway  :D

Unlocked it & got my sunglasses out, too damn hot to drive anywhere so bit more meat on the BBQ &  a few more cans it's absolutely glorious here in Norfolk.☀️☀️☀️
I want to go for a drive. With A/C on full blast ;D
.

Got air con in the caravan, so when it gets too much for me outside go in & have a lie down 👍

I don't see how  ???,unless you do it by removing the dash and cutting a big hole in the bulkhead , or removing the engine  :P
certainly not with my fat hands and sausage fingers  ;D
I removed the scuttle and the wiper motor too ,for access ,stupid GM spring clamps  :(
the HBV was the original , so 20 years old ,hopefully the new one will last that long   :D
all done and toped up Saturday morning :)
tested Saturday afternoon in 30 degree heat at the speed limit or less, honestly officer   :P

Took the Monaro out to the Barlylands show, Billericay.
Way to hot to really be sitting in a field
But, at least we have an event shelter to keep most of the sun off
Some other nice motors there apart for ours

It's doable, but isn't worth the extra hassle. That's especially true if it hasn't been off for some time, and is still afflicted with the original clamps.

Plenum off. Loads of room and quicker than faffing with the scuttle.

yes ,still had the original clamps , had being past tense , replaced with quality worm drive clamps  :)

if anybody needs the original GM spring clamps ,there's at least 3 thrown down my garden  :D

Fitted the windscreen back in the Austin , as you cant get a decent new rubber seal a tube of Tiger seal helped . Masking tape used to line out edges and when I took it off a scalpel gave a good edge.

Fitted complete £110 cat-back exhaust to the Omega 2.5 in the last couple of days.... getting a bit old for this lark, but a sense of achievement. There wasn't much left of the cat flanges, so drilling bolts not an option, so plumped for a couple of new split flanges.

Where did you get those from? Looks brilliant! I have a brand new exhaust centre that was 'donated' to me from the factors because it had been manufactured without the collar. I have saved an old steel collar from an old exhaust with the idea of cutting it and rewelding onto the section, but one of those could be a good alternative!
