Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: Battery drain
« on: 22 October 2022, 13:38:30 »
That said, on top of the battery, Fuses 5 and 6, large ones, feed all the interior gubbins, so pulling both of those will kill anything stuck on stone dead.

Just make sure that the key works the tailgate lock for entry purposes ;)

Yeah already found out about the tailgate the hard way.
Battery was down to 4 volts so I’m thinking it’s damp around the
starter / alternator.
Just replaced the battery.   Dash lights okay,  no codes, fuel pump priming,
Just not turning.   Just emptied my WD40 on any electrics underneath and I’m gonna get a hot air gun wafting around underneath later if I get chance

Hello peeps, been a while.
Hope everyone is okay

Omegas been off the road for 9 months and recently been draining the battery down to near enough nothing.
Before I jump in, what number /  which TDU controls the timed tag lighter ?

Honda CR-V since February
Still got my beloved Mv6 estate which needs fixing and selling to someone worthy when I have time.
I’m building a hard standing on the side of the house which will be large enough for 2 cars and a pikey wagon when finished.

It was never my favourite car, but I would have to concede that it has been a brilliant little car - pretty much indestructible, tidy bodywork, economical, nothing ever needed beyond the most basic servicing (oil, filters, brakes, tyres) except the intakes cleaning out several years ago.  Trying to think what else I had to do beyond that:

CV boot
Replacement turbo (£30)
Maf
Replaced all 4 tyres once
Few sets of brake pads
Rear shocks
Rear wiper arm
Headlight bulb
Backbox

Certainly not bad for over 9yrs, and remove the tyres from that, I bet that adds up to about £150

And I can't knock its versality.

30 quid for a turbo
That's cheap  :o

According to my medical for my new job.

Which is nice. Although asking you to climb three flights of stairs in 34 degree heat and then take your blood pressure is somewhat cruel... :D

What you doing ??

Yup. Estate bearings all the same. It was bought for a 3.2MV6. :y

You have PM

........... and returned  :y

Last time I changed mine I used Accuspark CTL 8mm Blue.
I don't think they stock a Omega set nowadays but if you call them with measurements, they will probably put a set together for you  :y

I put a set of 4 Avon ZV7's on my estate last year.
Before scrubbed in, they was slippery as hell.
After a 150 mile fun drive down some rough roads, they came into there own and I was actually impressed.

235 / 45 / 17's

General Car Chat / Re: Honda CR-V injectors
« on: 10 June 2022, 11:21:06 »
Hi Mark, spot on about the 0445 type.
Managed to source 4 x injectors off the same engine.   73K (allegedly)  90 day warranty for 150 quid before you answered.  Spoke to Kingston Marine back home yesterday and even though they avoid car  stuff nowadays, they will flow check them for me but there not interested in fitting / coding them.
With the car done 165K, I’m going to change all 4.
Don’t suppose you have access to a code reader which will program these do you ?
Struggling to find anyone interested in these neck of the woods

General Car Chat / Honda CR-V injectors
« on: 09 June 2022, 13:32:51 »
Just had that carbon clean done on my 57 plate / 165k  cr v
Worked pretty well tbh but his diagnosis software pulled up a problem with Number 2 injector.
Basically under 1500 revs it is hardly working to the point the other 3 are having to compensate causing it to misfire at low revs.
I believe they are Bosch injectors but the serial number system is a nightmare trying to find a replacement part.
Local dealers refuse to help at all.
The injector has a grey top with a ‘ B’ on it.
Numbers are as follows

0445 110 1645u r06 e01
Various other markings inc ….

DAASC5
3110

New ones are stupid prices so looking at a known good set of 4 ( for equal flow) and programming / fitting.
Anybody on here help in anyway ??

First sentence has probably answered your question...

Sadly I think you maybe right.
I’ll have a gander later to make sure the mount or spring hasn’t slipped but ill be suprised if they have slipped when he bolted it back together.
I’ll let you know 🤔😁

General Car Chat / Tracking question
« on: 08 April 2022, 19:43:14 »
Last week myself and Mini me replaced the front springs, shocks and strut tops on his civic.
All went according to plan.  Today, he had a front tyre replaced and asked them to track the front up.   After beginning the setup, they decreed that because one of the new tops has a squeak, they cannot track it.
Is this true or 'dangle berries' ??
The cars done 250 mile since the struts was fitted.
