By the sound of it .. it's probably good that you are firearms trained, as you might need to defend yourself from the family members! ;D ;D
[edit] And you're talking of moving to Chicago, so I assume you'll be concealed carry 100% of the time, anyway ;)

Her arrest led to the feds getting their hands on the NRA's financial records. These apparently showed Russian money being fed through them to the Trump campaign and Republican coffers. People at the NRA could go to jail over this.

Funnily enough, my firearms training means little to them even though I have been trained to a higher level than most military peeps. They wanted to see how I handled gun safety before they would let me hunt with them.
As for the concealed carry, not interested. Chicago is not a place where I feel unsafe. However I have not ventured to the south side. Besides, Chicago is still just an option (albeit the favorite). It could end up being DC or (God forbid) Houston.
