Switch ignition on.
switch unit off.
Press AS and switch unit on.....
" CODE" appears after 3 secs, 10 ----.

or try this
tried all this and the unit resets fine for the radio but the cd still gives the SAFE setting.

Leaving it over time hasnt worked as in the last month the wrong code hasn't been entered what i am thinking is, is there a limit of wrong entries, for instance if its entered wrong 3 times the unit is then locked and can only be reset by a main dealer after they have checked ownership.

doesnt matter when the codes were entered wrong, these radios have a memory chip iin them as do the changers which infinitely stores code info.

so if the code has been entered wrong to many times how do i get it reset??

safe means that you have entered the wrong code a certain number of times, radio needs to be on for anything between 2 mins and 2 hours as the code is time locked
Also means code hasn't been entered.

the code hasnt beeen entered wrong in the last month, and it say's this only on the cd mode the radio and cassette work fine

dose any one know off any good stereo service places in the bournemoth area as i think this needs to be looked at profesionally

Hi, mine is the mini facelift but the coding procedure may be the same, according to my manual it states :- 1) Switch on ignition.  2) Switch off the radio using the off switch.  3)Press and hold the CD key.  4) Switch on the radio while keeping the CD key pressed until you hear a confirmation beep.  5) The display shows "CD-CODE" for approx 3 secs, then "CDC code:" and the number of remaining attempts, for example "---- (10)". 6) Enter CD changer code number with the number keys.  7) Confirm "OK" by pressing multi-function control knob.  Hope this helps.

thanks for the reply I tryed this with no joy get as far as stage 4 but there is no beep.

i cant find any seperate description in the owners manual for my modile

I was mistaken on my original post the display is saying 'CDC SAFE' not 'CDC CODE'.

@ the boy is this something that can be repaired (probably at the stealers) or is a new one needed?

hi i have a face lift 2000 omega which has the CCR 2006 stereo which doesn't want to play the cd changer, the cassette and radio are fine but when ever the i turn on the cd player it display 'CDC CODE' which obviously means it wants the code put in i have 3 different codes off which my brother has imputed them with no sucsess he has also tried to turn it off (disconnencting the battery) to reset the stereo, he enteres the code and every thing else works but still not the cd player does this have a separate code or need inputing it in a different way?? or do i need to go to the stealers to reset it??

i havn't tried inputing any codes myself.

Omega General Help / Re: Original tyre make ??
« on: 05 June 2008, 19:07:31 »
Pretty sure that companys sell to the cheapest best bidder at the time of sale, as i have a few friends who brought new cars a couple of months difference between and had different branded tyres on them might take some investigating to find out your original.

Can i ask why you want to know?
