I roughly average about 30MPG although it`s nothing but motorway all the way to work, and with mad german mercedes drivers all over the roads, i tend to put them in their place.......behing me ;D ;D
i only fill up for 50 quid a time so it does`nt matter to me anyway ::)

Thanks for getting back so soon you guys. i'll go and have a look under the bonnet now even though
its blummin raining.....
one more thing though.....
i've been informed by Vauxhalls that when they changed the timing belt and rollers they noticed my "heat exchange unit" has been seeping and this would cost £750 to replace when it finally goes.
is this a resonable price to pay for this? [smiley=shocked.gif] [smiley=shocked.gif]
That was done to my car at the end of Feb. this year by tjhe Previous owner they changed a few pipes aswel as the head gasket.
at Opel it cost  982,92€ about 620 quid so 750 is not to over the top for Vx

I know its in German but i just wanted you to see that it is the going rate at you local neighberhood Vx dealer

Hello i hope that someone may be able to help me on this anoying but not to serious problem.... :o

I have a 2,5 V6 at about 5200RPM or at about 130 the engine starts to missfire, or at least it feels like it, and does`nt pull any more if i pull off the throttle it stops :-/

Now i have only had the car for 2 weeks, and as the previous owner was an elderly lady i think that she probably never went over 50 so.......... could it be possible that the engine just needs a bit of blowing out or does anyone think that they have another possibility  Oh by the way the car has just been serviced so the air filter and plugs are new, cam belt is new water pump cylinder head gasket etc
Thanks
Steve
Fuel filter?
I think to be on the safe side i will change the fuel filter can`t do any harm, although should they not have done that as part of the service?

was there any oil in the spark plug lead holes, mine did this when cam case gasket failed and leaked oil in to the chambers :y :y :y

checked them out first, that went through my head too.  at first i thought that the garage may have put wrong plugs in but all seems to be ok  :-/
