If the repair kit is sold by Vauxhall for this car and repair, why the hell don,t it fit.....why does it have to be ground down? :-/

Coz it don't fit the hole for the easiest way in....

:(The checkstrap's torn through the inside of the door so does the repair kit cover this, like a big washer so to speak? I.e like plating the ripped metal with a larger plate? Have plenty of nuts/bolts etc & do'nt mind buying replacement checkstrap but want to keep original door.
    This is the first fault i've had so ca'nt complain. Taken checkstrap out for now so must remember on windy days!!! I did replace washer on passenger side while i was at it!
     Thanks to all for your help. BIG curry next year.

Its likely the repair kit will still be OK
