Watched a couple over the weekend on dvd.

How come even in the ones set hundreds of years into the future , the characters always get supplied with a torch with the same power as one from the local petrol garage??

Looking for confirmation to a electric power steering problem on a small vw fox.

Looking thru various threads i found this reply.

I have same problem :( Changed the battery & still have the problem :(

So It could be a lot of different things....
PAS sensor
PAS Pump
ECU
Alternator / over charging
Battery
Faulty yaw sensor on the steering rack
Bears
George Bush
Ginger people

Thats what i call quality diagnostics :y

Omega General Help / elite headlight wishbone sender
« on: 28 December 2012, 13:41:32 »
While fiiting the poly bushes to the wishbones, some heavy handed git (me) forgot to disconnect the headlight adjuster on the ns wishbone.
The ball joint into the switch part doesnt look broken and just popped back in.

Does it need to be calbrated in some way?
Or is it knackered?

Omega General Help / rear camber/toe in.
« on: 16 December 2012, 21:49:00 »
I assume the front camber alters with a mixture of deterioration, age and suspension settle.
This also has an affect on toe settings?

Does a change occur with the rear suspension?  If so, having a basic wheel alignment using four wheel alignment equipment without knowing whether the rear toe is correct could be a waste of time.

Marks dtm settings for the front camber is 1.20'
The rear camber is suggested at 1.35' and toe at 0.15' which are a compromise/adjusted together?

thanks

Someone mentioned how light these cars were when first built compared to the weight of modern cars.

How can someone who has taken away someone elses human right to.. whatever it may be, have rights while serving time for that offence?

Where does it end? You have locked me up which violates my freedom because i believe i can do what i like.

A simplistic view probably to some of the intelects on here, but im sure you see where im going.

« on: 17 November 2012, 22:49:46 »
On my merry way trying to earn a bob or two on the roads of great britain, observance and eye contact of the drivers around you are key to a safe journey to where your going.

Tonights news on new/young drivers got me thinking.

Today i saw a fully liveried driving school vehicle slightly hesitant at a traffic island. Nothing new there usually, but in this particular instance the learner driver was on the phone.

What hope have new drivers got regardless of age with this kind of tuition being allowed on the uk roads. :o

Dont usually post on items like this, but where does it end?

http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2012/oct/12/british-gas-green-energy-prices?newsfeed=true

Green energy costs more. Green energy aint that great. So sooner or later if those of greater interlect that general plebism get there way we will be paying a truck load more for something we cannot get.

Wheres me candles and fire pit.

General Discussion Area / xbox mechanics
« on: 05 October 2012, 19:37:17 »
Nipper been complaining about the xbox not opening the cd draw and not reading the disc. Dug out an unused chipped unit with the intention of swiping the disc drive.
Swapped over .
The unit now opens and closes but has a strange message on the screen saying something like "connect to console"

Are the items coded together?
And where is the "chip" fitted . In the board or elsewhere or is it a software bodge that they receive?
