Just back from local tyre dealers..they did me a deal of £60=00 for the 4 including balance and disposal for cash,so think I got a fair deal ,now feel better and car might grip the road again..good bye to the Nankongs but they lasted 23k so lets hope the ebay P6000 last  as well.

Thought it sounded pricey, but then I did save on the tyres so perhaps it is just "tight wallet" syndrome.

« on: 19 April 2007, 10:39:19 »
I have just come back from France after driving nearly 2000 mile s in the good old mega without her missing a beat....after having numerous oil leaks from rocker covers .I bit the bullet and replaced both covers/genuine GM gaskets..o rings and sealant ..and I am delighted to say the smell of the "kebab shop" has atlast gone...it was a long job as the gaskets had been replaced twice before but it would seem the covers had warped..I will now be ensuring the breathers are cleaned properly atleast every 20 k miles in future as what with covers and gaskets ..has been a pricey job..anyway thanks to all for your advise
