you get Vauxhall's HiPerStrut front suspension, which maintains negative camber and reduces the dreaded understeer

 :D

I'd sooner have that than the bmw they quote  :)

i quite like that the insignia...oh and twiglets estate is nice as well....but different cars though well they are (stating the obvious first) but twiglets estate  is a crusier and insignia is a fire breathing monster... :y

The Insignia is "dog ugly" but I quite like this one.

Wait two years and she can be yours for about £12,000. :y

You know it makes sense. :y

Nope, not impressed by that at all. Looks too 'samey' as a lot of cars seem to these days. I'd rather spend my 30k on a nice Jag.

yeah thats the problem most cars look the same these days, all to do with aero dynamics and not standing out too far from the crowd...i am guessing though for  £30,000 you could get a lot better car than an insignia.. :y

If I had £30K burning a hole in my pocket...

I wouldn't be spending it on a car, TBH.

I also can't get excited about it, although the spec is impressive.

Given the choice between it and a Noddy car, however.... ;D

I was down at the local Vauxhall dealer a couple of weekends ago looking at Corsa's but remarked to the sales guy that I liked the Insignia VXR, in the blink of an eye he offered a built to order 2012 model, 6 week lead time, Sat Nav automatic hatchback for £25,000, including full tank of fuel and first years tax, 100k mile, 10 year warranty on the road. As its being replaced may have something to do with it, but still. Pretty sure if I had ordered there and then could have got the full sport leather upgrade thrown in.

To say I was tempted is an understatement they wanted £12.5k for the Corsa Active!

Doesn't float my boat.

My expereince of (factory) chavved up Vauxhalls is the insurance hurts, and every kid fancys their chances.  Then boast to their mates in the pub how they beat you, not realising you really couldn't be arsed.

A valid point well made :P but as it's a hypothetical 30k, may as well spend it ::)

Has anyone compared any modern cars' drag coefficient with the Omega, I believe the latter was state of the art in it's day. :-\
