He's certainly not cheap... but his cars are prepared to a VERY high standard (cambelt/tensioners was done on mine 8000 miles early) and his after sales is excellent - (theres a thread on the old site regarding my rear shock absorbers).

Would I buy from him again ?? Certainly if I was after a certain car as a "keeper" and he had one that matched. For a "daily hack" .. probably not.

A car is worth what you can get for it, he asks a lot, but seems to sell them...

I like this blue one too, but it says 2.2 but if you look, it has 3 pedals! is this possible? i thought 2.2s only came in auto?

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201217467167988/original-id/201243489874649/associated-ids/201217467167988%2C201220471333232%2C201233481992276%2C201211154252547%2C201301214999031/usedcars/postcode/rg145jx?logcode=a

2.2 petrol comes manual or auto,2.2 dti is manual only

Thanks for the clarification, i learn something new every day  :y

It's sold ;) ;)

It's actually a rare car being a 3.2 Elite Estate (Only 49 on the road a couple of years ago when I was looking), then add the Colour Screen, Light Interior and low mileage and it becomes even rarer ;) Just a pity about the outside colour :-X ::)

I'd have paid that when I was looking a couple of years ago, if it was the right car ;) I didn't pay that much but it was "Too much" according to many people's opinion ;)

Indeed, and as always the market will decide if the price is right or not.  In this instance yet again someone believes it to be a good buy, and I think I must agree and would have bought it if I had £4K in my hand!

It's exactly what I paid a couple of years ago .. from him (as you know, I think) ;)

Although that much stuff stopped working or wasn't working at purchase that I rather wish I hadn't, now (the aircon never worked, GPS didn't work, rocker covers needed doing very soon after purchase, wishbone went six months later, drop links started clunking) - of course I could (and should have) gone back to him for warranty fixes but being the slack oik I am, I didn't  :-[

Interesting what you say about numbers of Elite estates on the road though - no wonder there aren't many late model Elite estates with the DTi about.. only one on autotrader right now, in fact, and it's older & higher milage than my 3.2.

Given that that one sold, it would seem that it only takes an advert ::)
