An I6 in a Chevette? Are you mad? Just getting it in the car would mean cutting a damn great hole, and then it would handle appallingly.
now a 20XE would make for a fun car and isn't too hard to do.

Although thinking back a few years, Hot rod magazine threw a drag car together using a US spec Chevette and a 500ci Cadillac engine that was pretty scary!

Correct.Its the one in my avatar.
Wouldnt drop an S6 in a chevette.Get an old slant 4 engine from somewhere and rebuild/tune it for not much money and you would have a very quick little car.
The one in the link is a saloon though.The hatchback shell is the one to have.

The old Viva engine fitted to the standard Chevettes was severely asthmatic.It was gutless even by 1970,s standards.
