Reg was an easy (and cheap) fix on the 645 - if you ignore the three days it took to liberate the alternator to get at the regulator ;D a problem you're unlikely to have on yours :y
Maf and air filter housing out should do it ;)

Voltage 13.4 at idle, drops to 12 with a load applied and gradually creeps back to 13.2 with some revs...

Looks like the alternator is getting lazy, so if I am stuck with it any longer, then it will be at least a new regulator and the Abs ecu reconfig...

Sounds more rectifier diodes with those symptoms to be honest

You'd better drive it to the dealer so they can 'fix' it, or you'll be poisoning all of your fellow campers when you park up on the farmers field.  ;D

On second thoughts...... ::)

Sadly not, separate items.

Ah, yes... Refurb for £45-50, or new for £100...

That's to say parts for refurb or complete alternator.

Crikey, a new alternator for the 645 was >£500! At that price I'd buy a new one (if I was keeping the car)

Replaced the right front door stopper. The inner holder was broken and banded. So I opened the inner door frame and removed the holder. Not easy. Welded in a 3 mm angle with holes for the original door stopper. Own construction, works perfect. At last I closed the repair window.

Everything works perfect now. The yellow plastic spacers are ordered and will complete the repair.

Left Side (drivers side) I did the same way two years ago. It still works perfect.

Rolf

By the way, 33°C today. Tropical day (Tmax over 30°C) number 18 this summer. Puhhh

Another solid days work there :y

Don't worry about the heat, it will still be 25 outside when you fit your winter tyres :P

My drivers door needs that repair too. and I also need to change the oil/filter etc as I've not touched it since I bought the car. and I need to get the welding done before the subframe drops out over a bump..
