I was told by the previous owner who was told by the previous owner.... that it had a new engine at 80,000 ::).
It was in a right state when i bought it but with the help of Elite Pete (you're a star mate :y) it is now running great and looking reasonable.
I have been on a number of forums in the past but this one wins hands down, people will bend over backwards to help you, without which this car would probably be sat in a scrap yard somewhere, I would just like to say a big thanks to the people that set up the site and long may it continue :y :y :y

That's not the original mileage, the figures aren't in line ;D

Seriously, that looks tidy for that mileage & age. A credit to you :y :y :y

wooow...that is some mileage  :y :y

what are the mainteinance costs at this high mileage?
do you have a lot of problems and issues with it, compared to similar low mileage omegas?

Its on LPG so is cheap to run. Des keeps it well looked after and well serviced with regular oil changes but its only like running a 30,000 miler and it looks and drivers really well for its age/mileage  :y

As I said previously, when  I first got the car it was in a right old state, someone had done away with the airbox and put a stupid cheap cone filter on it, it was running terrible especially on lpg and looked like it hadnt been cleaned for years!
Since I  have had it It has had timing belt, newish air shocks, new wishbones and droplinks, new back box, camcover gaskets and breathers cleaned, lpg sorted, new brake discs and pads all around and general oil and filter changes etc.
But someone previous has fitted new front and rear springs and front track rods etc.
All the above to me are just renewable parts which come under general maintenance and it was only in the state it was as someone had let it go and not looked after it. All it needs now is the exhaust manifold gasket repairing (get ready Pete ;D) and a trip to one of WIM's outlets for the alignment (thanks for all the free advice Tony) as the garage i first took it to were useless.
Hopefully there are many more miles left in it now it has been given a new lease of life.
