« on: 06 October 2008, 19:47:26 »

Hi, The wipers on my 2001 Omega are refusing to go to the park posiition, having read previous posts about the M8 bolt coming loose I've already hit a snag.Does anyone have any tips about how to remove the wiper arms from the splines, they are stuck solid.Have soaked in Plus Gas but no success.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Remove nut and washer. Then press hard on hinge of wiper, and try to lift from hinge. Do this a few times. Should loosen.

Hi,just had to remove my wipers and had the same problem.Tried all sorts but no chance so went to Machine Mart and bought the proper tool.It will work on any car and costs about £8.

never needed a tool on any car, as said, push pull on hinge and hold / pull on bolt end with other hand, just in case it wacks the wind screen  ::)
